UTICA, Ky. — Charles “Charlie” Michael Farris, 68, of Utica, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, with his family by his side under the care of Ohio County Hospice. He was born February 12, 1958, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Charles Farris and Peggy Neighbors Farris.
Charlie retired from Alliance Coal.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Angie Rhye-Farris; son, Austin Michael Farris; two daughters, Ashley Rhye and Racheal Hunter; granddaughters, Brilee Mae Edge and Everlee Rae Edge; granddaughter-at-heart, Kristen Bratcher; two sisters, Margaret (Jim) Knowles and Sue (Steve) Winkler; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Greg Hillard, Scottie Fleener and Ross Grigsby officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
