ECHOLS, Ky. — Donald Ray Baggarly, 66, of Echols, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born on March 10, 1960, in Hammond, Indiana, to Betty Scott Blissit and the late Kenneth Baggarly.

Don was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of Echols General Baptist Church. Don enjoyed many years of dirt stock car racing, horseback riding and UK sports.

Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Cindy Baggarly, and two brothers, Paul “Fuzz” Baggarly and Lewis “Goo” Baggarly.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Betty Blissit, of Owensboro, Kentucky; three children, Kenneth (Kara) Baggarly, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Meagan (Kenny) Fulton, of Rockport, Kentucky, and Melissa Moneyham, of Lewisport, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Keenan Baggarly, Lily Baggarly, Peyton Baggarly, Ella Baggarly, Levi Fulton, Brianna Mooneyham, Braxton Mooneyham, Landon Mooneyham, and Logan Mooneyham; two sisters, Karen Reed, of Owensboro, and Paula Grace, of Owensboro; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Thomas Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
