Tyler Childers with Aubrie Sellers @ Beaver Dam Amphitheater - Beaver Dam Park

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Tyler Childers will play the Beaver Dam Amphitheater Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018. Childers will be joined by his band and opening act Aubrie Sellers this Saturday.

Childers was at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater earlier this year as the opening act for John Prine. Near the end of the show, Childers was invited by Prine to play one of Prine’s most beloved songs, “Paradise.”

Childers later wrote about the experience on his Instagram account.

“I got to play “Paradise” with John Prine on HIS guitar,” Childers said. “If I wasn’t contractually obligated to play a bunch more shows this year, I’d just call it good and go home now. I am on cloud bajillion right now.”

Perhaps because of his performance opening for Prine, or his playing Bonnaroo this year, or his rising stock as one of the purest, rawest new country music singer and songwriters, tickets for Saturday’s show are almost gone. Both the Golden Circle and VIP seats are SOLD OUT.

According to Beaver Dam Mayor Paul Sandefur, tickets have been sold to people in 102 Kentucky counties and 23 different states, at this point. Both hotels and the campground at the Ohio County Park are “booked solid.”

After seeing this concert, you can tell your grandkids, “I saw Tyler Childers, right here in Beaver Dam, before he was huge.”

General Admission tickets are still available and are $15.50 in advance and $25.50 the day of the concert. Those with General Admission tickets need to bring a lawn chair.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. with Aubrie Sellers, followed by the man of the hour, Tyler Childers.
