Cromwell Park Field Dedication, Pick Up Softball @ Cromwell Park

CROMWELL, Ky. — The Cromwell Park is undergoing a renovation and has several activities planned for this Sunday.

The ball field at Cromwell Park is ready for play and at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 23, there will be a field dedication. Following the dedication, children ages 15 and under can come out, run the bases, hit a few soft toss balls and look at the new base system for the ballpark.

At 2 p.m., Sunday, the Cromwell Park will host pick-up softball for those 16 and older. Those who come out to play will draw teams and play for free. Bring your own bat, glove and balls.

Girls Fastpitch Fall Ball sign ups will also take place from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, at the park.

Come out and enjoy a weekend of fun at the Cromwell Park.

OCMS SBDM Council meeting

HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Middle School SBDM council will meet the first Wednesday of each month, unless that Wednesday falls on the 1st or a holiday. The meeting will be held at 3:15 p.m. in the school’s library media center.

If there is a school cancellation on the date of the meeting, the meeting will be held the day school returns to session; therefore, this will not require a special-called meeting notice.

HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Park will host a Party at the Park from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Come join the Ohio County Park for a back to school bash at Park Shelter #2, by the horse arena. There will be games, snacks and activities for children of all ages. There will be a corn hole tournament and a bouncy house at the party.

Free school supplies will be available for all children. Children can also register to win a free backpack, just in time to start school.
