HARTFORD. Ky. — The Ohio County Tourism Commission, along with the Ohio County Cornerstone Hall Senior Center, hosts a Musician’s Fellowship at 6 p.m., every 4th Thursday of the month at the Senior Center in Hartford.

If you love to sing, pick an instrument, jingle a tambourine or just clap your hands and tap your foot, come join the Musician’s Fellowship for a fun-filled time.

The Ohio County Cornerstone Hall Senior Center is at 2320 Highway 69 North in Hartford.

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Longview Baptist Church will hold a Friends and Family Day at 11 a.m., this Saturday, May 27, 2017.

Bro. Todd Leach will bring the message and the day will include special singing, as well as performances by the church’s youth. Following the service, the church will have a pot luck dinner.

The Ohio County High School Eagle Soccer Boosters will be hosting the Third Annual OCHS Eagles Soccer 5K Glo Run/Walk June 2 in Beaver Dam.

If you’d like to register, please download a form and mail to the address shown. Online registration is also available.

Registration will be open until 8 p.m. the night of the event.

All proceeds from this event will go toward the boy and girls soccer teams of Ohio County High School.

‘Pickin on the Porch’ @ Bill Monroe Homeplace

ROSINE, Ky. — “Pickin’ on the Porch” returns to Jerusalem Ridge beginning Sunday, May 14, 2017, at the Bill Monroe Homeplace in Rosine. The music begins at 2 p.m. and will wrap up around 4 p.m.

There will be an open mic session, so bring your instrument and join the jam.

Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair.

“Pickin’ on the Porch” will be held the second Sunday of every month from May through September of 2017.

Sunday, September 10, will be a celebration of Bill Monroe’s birthday with gospel music at 10 a.m. and ‘Pickin on the Porch” at 1 p.m.

Bill Monroe’s Homeplace is located off of U.S. 62 East. Enter at the big Jerusalem Ridge sign on U.S. 62 E, one and a half miles west of Rosine.
