BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Franklin David Smith, 90, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 17, 1935, in Taffy, Kentucky, to the late Dewey and Ina Gillim Smith.
Frank was a farmer which required most of his time except the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jenna Mae Henry Smith and four siblings, Wildon, Martha Helen, Evelyn and Ethel Ray.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two children, Martha (Dwight) Raymond, of Beaver Dam, and David (Tonya) Smith, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Shawna (Stephen) Mathis and Megan Raymond as well as six great-grandchildren, Paige Brandon, Jax Mathis, Raydan Raymond, Ben Mathis, Kruz Raymond and Navee Whitten.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky.
