HARTFORD, Ky. — Ressie Gwendolyn Renfrow Stewart, 84, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with her family by her side at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Horse Branch, Kentucky, to the late Willie Renfrow and Geneva Daugherty Renfrow.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Stewart, and three sisters, Moina Jackson, Verneida Frame, and Eura Lee Sorrels.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two children, Ricky (Ina) Renfrow, of Baizetown, Kentucky, and Angie (Billy) Christian, of Hartford, Kentucky; Ernest Stewart, of Fordsville, Kentucky, Wayne (Chigger) Stewart, of Rosine, Kentucky, and Brenda Hayse, of Cromwell, Kentucky; and 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at William L. Danks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Stewart’s family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
