OWENBORO, Ky. — Michael Louis “Mike” Jarboe, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Daviess County, Kentucky, to the late Charles Henry and Elsie Lauretta Meyer Jarboe.

Mike was retired from the City of Owensboro as a supervisor with the sanitation department. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed road trips with the family. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh being a kid at heart, was an avid NASCAR fan, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed listening to older country music.

Mike was most proud of his family and being a husband, father, and grandfather. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were his whole world.

Mike was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Maggie Knight and Katherine Conkright.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Linda; three daughters, Amberly Keach and husband, Steve, of Caseyville, Illinois, Robin Ebelhar and husband, Brad, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Shara Roberts and husband, Jeff, of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Mason and Avelyn Keach, and Jace and Gatlin Roberts; six brothers, David (Barbara) Jarboe, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Larry (Gerry) Jarboe, of Utica, Kentucky, Johnny (Peggy) Jarboe, of Wildemar, California, Jimmy Jarboe, of Owensboro, Billy (Cheryl) Jarboe, of Utica, and Charlie (Sheila) Jarboe, of Utica; two sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Storm, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Theresia (Joell) Hartley, of Andalusia, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Timmy Conkright, of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from Noon until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
