OCTC to host AI certification course in April

OWENSBORO, Ky. — OCTC’s Veterinary Technology and Agriculture programs are collaborating to host the annual Artificial Insemination certification course led by Ben Lloyd from the Kentucky Beef Network and the American Breeder Service.

The course is made up of three sessions scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and from 2-7 p.m. Friday, April 7 at OCTC’s Southeastern Campus at 1901 Southeastern Parkway, and from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Kentuckiana Livestock market, at 8411 KY-81 in Owensboro. The registration deadline has been extended to March 30.

This certification opportunity is open to current students, alumni, and interested community members. Participants must attend all three sessions to earn the certification. Costs are $20 to attend a lecture, $40 for a lecture and an Artificial Insemination manual, and $350 for all lectures, a course manual, and certification.
