Ohio County candidates asked to address readers

In 2022 Primary Election, Meet the Candidates, News by OC Monitor Staff

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. — The May 17 Primary Election will be here before we know it, and the Ohio County Monitor has started posting its Meet the Candidates profiles where candidates can address the readers of the OC Monitor.

The first of our Meet the Candidates profiles is from incumbent Republican 5th District Magistrate Larry Morphew. The Meet the Candidates profiles are all open to the public to read and won’t be placed behind a paywall.

We have asked the 2022 candidates to submit an article about themselves, why they are running for office and why the citizens of Ohio County should vote for them.

It’s up to the candidates if they want to take part or not, but the Ohio County Monitor would hope each candidate would want to reach out to the voters. We also hope voters will take time to read the candidate profiles and better educate themselves on their candidates.

We are in the process of contacting candidates to submit a profile, but in some cases, we may not be able to reach them. Because of this, we want to publicly invite all candidates to submit an article and photo to ocmonitor.com.

Email us at news@ocmonitor.com with the article in the body of the email. Photos should be sent in JPG format. Please write “Candidate Profile” in the subject area. Articles must be received no later than May 13, 2022.

There are no restrictions on the length of the article. This article cannot be used to attack other candidates. We also ask the article to be original and not one already published. The candidates’ articles will be posted on the Ohio County Monitor in the order they are received.
