Sheriff looking for suspect in vehicle theft

HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stolen vehicle, which was recovered in Fordsville. The OCSO is asking the public for help in identifying the alleged driver of the stolen vehicle.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, Tuesday, April 14, 2020, deputies responded to 1000 KY 54 W in reference to an abandoned vehicle at the Marathon Gas station. It was determined by deputies the vehicle had been stolen out of Louisville.

The driver of the vehicle left the gas station on foot headed west on KY 54 toward Fordsville.

Upon further investigation, deputies were able to obtain video surveillance photos of the suspect allegedly driving the vehicle.
