He was a Switchman and retired after 40 years with the Indiana Bell Telephone Company.
Maurice served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed growing roses and gardening and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Willadeen (Givens) Moyers; four children, Susan Flanigan (Richard), David Moyers (Vickie), Steven and Scott Moyers; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters and two brothers along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held at 12 noon (CST) Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Render Cemetery, Knob Hill Road, McHenry, Kentucky, near Beaver Dam.
