ROCKPORT, Ky. — Joyce Jewell Decker, 76, of Rockport, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 12, 1943, in McHenry, Kentucky, to the late Gilbert and Inez Taylor Whitler.
Joyce was a member of Hartford Church of God of Prophecy and was a homemaker.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Herman Decker; one son, James “Jimmy” Decker; one sister, Margaret Wallace; and four brothers, Charles Whitler, Jimmy Whitler, Jackie Whitler, and Danny Whitler.
Survivors include her children, Hazel (Eddie) Douglas, of Central City, Kentucky, Marty Decker, of Rockport, Tammy (Timmy) Segers, of Nelson Creek, Kentucky, James “Eddie” (Tonya) Decker, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Deborah Ralph, of South Carrollton, Kentucky; one brother, Cecil Whitler, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Holly Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Decker’s family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
