MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Darrell Wayne Belcher, 70, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Darrell was born in Butler County, Kentucky, March 26, 1949, to the late Talmage Waymen and Lula Logsdon Belcher.
He was a minister for over 40 years and retired from Echols Baptist Church in Ohio County, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Maria.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Belcher, of Morgantown; daughters, Renee Justis (Luke), of Morgantown, Kim Akers, of Morgantown, and Becky Bush (Jeremy), of Morgantown; grandchildren, Cameron Rogers, Lyndsey Embry (Trapper), Nicholas Phelps, Jonah, Isabella, Gabriel Akers, and Sydney Justis; great-grandbabies, Tate Embry and Oliver Justis, all of Morgantown; brother, Douglas Belcher (Judy), of Morgantown; “special” brother, Rodney Johnson (Rita); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
