HARTFORD, Ky. — Minnie E. Minneman, 101, of Hartford, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019. She was born in Chester, New York, on Nov. 3, 1918, to George and Elizabeth Quackenbush.
She enjoyed reading, crosswords, knitting, and was a great cook. She loved sitting on the porch overlooking the pond watching the wildlife. She especially loved feeding and observing hummingbirds. Her loyal companions Jake and Woody were always by her side.
She was proceeded in death by her husband William; her son, James; and her grandson, David.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara, of Martinez ,California, Alice, of Hartford, and Marilyn, of Champaign, Illinois; two sons, Peter (Maggi), of Franklin, New York, and George (Kathy), of Urbana, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Margaret, of Allentown, Pennsylvania; along with eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Private Services will be held at a later date.
