Gerald ‘Redbone’ Pharris

CANEYVILLE, Ky. — Gerald “Redbone” Pharris, 59, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1958, in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Edward and Freda (Embry) Pharris.

He loved fishing and hunting.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant twin brothers.

Gerald is survived by his three daughters, Sherrie Hudspeth (Ricky), of Greenville, Kentucky, Tina Hoheimer, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Kimberly Pharris, of Georgia; two brothers, Gary Pharris (Melinda) and Phillip Pharris, both of Spring Lick, Kentucky; four sisters, Kay Fleener (Curtis), of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, Audrey Woodcock (Chigger) of Tick Ridge, Kentucky, Mary Ellen Lee, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, and Lisa Smith (Ricky), also of Leitchfield; a special granddaughter, Emily Pharris; several other grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Following Gerald’s wishes the family has chosen cremation.

Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville is in charge of arrangements.
