HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Public Library has released a programs and events taking place at the library or the library annex. The Ohio County Public Library is at 413 S. Main St. in Hartford. The Public Library Annex is at 424 Main St. in Hartford.

Monday, Feb. 12

Books & Beyond Book Club for Adults – 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. –  Join the Ohio County Public Library Books and Beyond Book Club as they discuss The Zookeeper’s Wife by: Diane Ackerman, followed by a showing of the movie. Meeting to be held at the Library Annex. Attendance at the Book Club meeting is not required for attendance at the movie.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

Paint Party – 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Create your own painting masterpiece with detailed step-by-step instructions. Channel your inner artist and enjoy this light and colorful evening! For ages 14 and up.

Thursday, Feb. 15

Home School Support Space – 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. – The Ohio County Public Library offers a venue for home school families to exchange ideas. Children’s activities will be provided during this time.

Friday, Feb. 16

Teens Only Chocolate Olympics – 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Do you have what it takes to win chocolate gold? Join us for an afternoon of chocolate filled games and activities! For teens only!

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Famished for Fiction Teen Group – 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Join the group for discussions on popular novels, television series, video games, and much more! In February we will be offering a “Blind Date with a Book.” Don’t forget to bring your friends! Grades 6 – 12.

Color Connection – 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Looking for a great way to sit back and relax? Why not become a part of this relaxation trend? Old school anti-stress coloring, warm drinks, music, conversation, and no screens. Supplies will be provided – simply bring yourself. Ages 14 and up are welcome to attend.

Thursday, Feb. 22

Afterschool Program – 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Join the Ohio County Public Library as they celebrate the 2018 Winter Olympics with games, crafts, books, and more. Grades K – 6th.

Saturday, Feb. 24

Free Family Movie – 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Free Family Movie! Rated PG. Contact the library at 270-298-3790 for title information.

Monday, Feb. 26

Baby Romp & Rhyme – 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Ages 0 – 24 months and caregivers. Join the library for stories, games, crafts, and activities designed especially for our youngest aspiring readers and their caregivers. Babies will learn fingerplays, rhymes, and social skills.

Monday, Feb. 26

Side by Side Storytime for Families – 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – A program specifically designed for young aspiring readers and their families. Children will learn many language developing and social skills through books, games, activities and crafts.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

Toddler Time – 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. – Ages 2 & 3 years old and their caregivers. Join the library for a program specifically designed for ages 2 and 3 years old to inspire a desire for reading. Children will be introduced to books, games, crafts, and many activities.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

Tabletop Tuesdays – 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Bring the family and come to the Ohio County Public Library for an evening of board games for all ages! For families and people ages 14 and up!

Wednesday, Feb. 28

Story Circle – 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. – Ages 4 & 5 years. Bring your young readers to the library for a program designed to spark their imagination through books, games, crafts, and activities.
