Hartford man arrested after fleeing the KSP

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — A Hartford man, wanted on several warrants, was arrested by the Kentucky State Police after he tried to flee from the officers.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 16, around 6:50 p.m. Monday evening, the KSP conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 231. Through investigation it was found a passenger in the vehicle, Harlan R. Roebke, 24, of Hartford, Kentucky, had several active warrants for his arrest. Roebke attempted to flee, but was caught after a brief foot pursuit.

Roebke was arrested and charged with third degree assault-police officer, public intoxication, second degree fleeing or evading police (on foot) and resisting arrest.

Roebke was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
