HARDINSBURG, Ky. — Charles Raymond Young, 62, of Hardinsburg, passed away Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born on Tuesday, April 19, 1955, in Yeaman, Kentucky, the son of the late Cecil Richard and Ida Marie (Foreman) Young.
Charles worked in timber and loved to work on small engines. He also enjoyed to deer hunt, fish and play the guitar.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, William, Gary and Gene Young; one sister, Bessie Decker; and an infant sister.
Charles is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betty Jo Lindsey; their son, CJ Young and his fiancée, Heather Norton, of Hardinsburg; his twin brother, Damon Young (Dawn), of Yeaman; his brother, Carl Young, of Grayson County, Kentucky; two sisters, Carol Foreman (RL), of Yeaman, and Shirley Duncan (Billy), of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and several good friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Junior Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday after 11 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charles Young Memorial Fund.
