LIVERMORE, Ky. — L.C. Peters, 85, of Livermore, better known as “Pappy” by his family and friends, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. L.C. Peters was born March 20, 1932, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Bennie William and Flora Lee St.Clair Peters and was married to the former Laura Ellen Garst June 24, 1955.

He retired after a 23 year career in the U.S. Army and later retired from Advanced Drainage Systems.

He was a member of Moorman Missionary Baptist Church and attended Livermore General Baptist Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and neighborhood children who often visited.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Laura Peters; a son, Greg Peters and his wife, Robin, of Owensboro, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Bolton and the late Phil Bolton, and Gayle Ruby and her husband, Michael, both of Livermore; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evanell Flener, of Centertown, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Roy Day officiating. Burial with Military Honors from Fort Campbell will be in the Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore. Friends may visit with L.C.’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.

The L.C. Peters family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Disabled American Veterans. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
