Casting Crowns coming to Beaver Dam tonight

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission will welcome Casting Crowns to the Beaver Dam Amphitheater, tomorrow night, August 11. The group will appear as part of the First United Bank Summer Concert Series.

Tickets will be $40 at the gate. Children ages 6 and under are free.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with music beginning at 7:30 p.m. Hannah Kerr will open the show followed by Casting Crowns.

Casting Crowns began as a student worship band in 1999 and released the first of their 13 albums in 2001. Since then, the group has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, won a Grammy Award for their album Lifesong, won five consecutive Dove awards for Group of the Year, a Dove award for Artist of the Year and a Dove award for Album of the Year.

In 2007, Casting Crowns was the most played artist on Christian radio and is the second fastest Christian band in history to have their first two albums certified as platinum.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a time of praise and worship. The Beaver Dam Amphitheater is at 217 S. Main St. in Beaver Dam.
