ROCHESTER, Ky. — Viola M. Crume, 96, of Rochester, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Heartford House in Owensboro, Ky. She was born in Spencer County, Ind., to the late Charles M. and Dana Baum McVey.

She was a homemaker, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of Olaton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Crume; a son, Randall Kenneth Crume; and a sister, Edna Greer.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Wayne (Rosalin Ann) Crume, of Sacramento, Ky.; two daughters, Deanna (Ray) Estes, of Lewisport, Ky., and Sandra (Steve) Hammers, of Rochester; one brother, Charles Irvin McVey, of Valley Station, Ky.; one sister, Lunetta Burt, of St. Matthews, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Ray Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Richland, Indiana. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
