HARTFORD, Ky. — Carl William Vance passed away at his home, at the age of 62, on July 2, 2017.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Vance, Floy and Wilkie “Pappy” Embry.
Carl is survived by his wife, Rita Vance, who stayed by his side until the very end; his children, Carl Vance II, of Hartford, Dale and Kim Vance, of Hartford, Ky., Jeffery and Ruth Vance, of Owensboro, Ky., Jennifer and Brandon Shelton, of Cannelton, Ind., and Samantha and Luke Patterson, of Trion, Ga.; brothers, Frankie Royal and Arthur Vance; sisters Nora Vance, Darlene McIntruff and Erma Pierce. Carl and Rita have 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 6, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Fellowship Hall from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
