CROMWELL, Ky. — Margie V. Morphew, 95, of Cromwell, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Ky. Margie was born Nov. 7, 1921, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Archie and Pearl Keown Rogers and wife of the late James Wesley Morphew.
She was a member of Green River Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Ray Rogers Jr., and two sisters, Hazel Coots and Lorene Greer.
Margie V. Morphew is survived by two sons, Kenneth Morphew (Trudy), of Cromwell, and Ray Morphew, of St Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Wilma Rock Crowe, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; two brothers, James Rogers, of Cromwell, and Robert Rogers, of Bowling Green, Ky.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Green River Missionary Baptist Church Wednesday, May 31, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Kelley Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at 10 a.m. at the Green River Missionary Baptist Church.
