Nadean Wood, 83, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown, Ky. She was born on July 4, 1933, in Beckley, W.V., daughter of the late Hazel and Hassie Mullens McVey.
Nadean was a retired mail carrier in Grand Rivers, Ky., and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband Billy Joe Wood of Hartford; three sons Billy D.(Beth) Wood of Hartford, Bobby Wood of Little Rock, Ark., and Barry (Vickie) Wood of Brandenburg, Ky., 10 Grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one brother Silas (Delores) McVey of Grand Rivers, Ky.; one sister, Ella (David) Trosper of Howell, Mich., and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Ky. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
