NeilWestWalker O. “Neil” West, 84, of Utica, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Centertown on March 29, 1930, son of the late Walker and Dewey Addington West.

Neil served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Owensboro and an associate member at Centertown United Methodist Church, was retired from the Owensboro Fire Department where he was an Engineer and was a 50 year member of Centertown Masonic Lodge F&AM #714.

Neil was preceded in death by two sisters Irene Fulkerson and Fonda Deafenbaugh and one brother Gene West.

Survivors include his wife Anita Chancellor West; two nieces, Electa Brock and Phyllis Coppage; four nephews, Ronnie Fulkerson, Greg West, Phillip West and Steve Deafenbaugh and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June12, at 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Masonic services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
