Garrett Jay Miller, 19, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Beaver Dam. He was born July 23, 1994, in Granite City, Ill., to Johnny Miller and Veronica Stout Baize.
He was a 2013 graduate of Ohio County High School and he worked in production at Perdue Farms.
Garrett was loved by many, but especially by his best friend and little sister, Willow. He enjoyed playing video games with his younger brother, Eli.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Johnny F. Miller Sr. and Linda Sue Wagner and his maternal grandfather Kenneth Stout.
Survivors include his parents, Veronica and Jr. Baize of Beaver Dam and Johnny and Angela Miller of Owensboro; five brothers, Kyle (Sara) Baize of Hartford, Eli Miller of Beaver Dam, Jacob Alexander Temple of Paducah, Spencer Stephenson of Owensboro and Christian Stephenson of Owensboro; four sisters, MaKayla (Jake) Nunn of Bowling Green, Hannah (Patrick) Miller of Portland, Ore., Willow Baize of Beaver Dam and Taylor Bettorf of St. Charles, Mo., and his maternal grandmother, Katie Stout of Hartford.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Terry Tarrance officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time of Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to the Garrett Jay Miller Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
