Bobby Leo Cockerel, 64, of Shepherdsville, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the VA Hospital in Louisville. He was born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Jefferson County, the son the late Andrew and Annie (Duff) Cockerel.
He was a member of the VFW 5710 in Shepherdsville and the Moose Club in Henderson.
He is survived by three sisters, Glenda (Arnold) Smith of Reynolds Station, Pauline Hawkins (Ronnie) of Shepherdsville and Bonnie Smith of Texas and one brother, Eddie Bozarth of Oklahoma. Bobby is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he is proceeded in death by one brother, Paul Cockerel.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Jonathan Hodges will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
