CharlenaFieldsCharlena Fields, 86, of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born May 18, 1927, in Letcher County, Ky. to the late Joe Creech and Louisa Fields.

She was a member of Pathway Missionary Baptist Church in Beaver Dam and was a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Young; her husband, Slaney Fields; her son, Andrew Banks; two brothers, Wes Creech and Andrew Creech; one sister, Imogene Creech, and one grandson, Jimmy Lee Ashby.

Survivors include six sons, Johnny (Sandra) Young of Beaver Dam, Watson (Lana) Fields of Beaver Dam, Dennis (Bertie) Young of Hartford, Jim (Ruth) Fields of Hartford, Jerry (Betty) Fields of Morganfield and David (Freda) Young of Jellico, Tenn.; six daughters, Wanda (Stephen) Little of Beaver Dam, Helen (Jimmy) Ashby of Beaver Dam, Ruth (Cecil) Geary of Beaver Dam, Bessie (Archie) Perkins of Williamsburg, Tammy (Mark) Walker of Williamsburg and Clara (Gary) Hoskins of Milford, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Banks of Irvine, Ky.; one sister, Joda Nelson of Blanchester, Ohio, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Don Beverly officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
