Jerry W. Holland, 59, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1954, to the late Marvin and Gladys Simpson Holland.
He attended Living Faith Baptist Church in Hartford and was a Coal Miner at Highland Coal Mines in Henderson, Ky.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Lake Holland, Billy Holland, Jackie Holland, Roger Holland, Roy Holland and Harold Holland and four sisters, Esther Lee Holland, Mary Brown, Virginia Brechel and Sue Willoughby.
Survivors include his son, Jason Holland of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Janna Ratliff of Hartford and Jerri Jane (Billy) Hammons of Beaver Dam; his companion, Robin Daugherty of Hartford; one brother, Darrel Holland of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Linda Embry of Beaver Dam and Carol Willis of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Nathan Holland and Katlyn Holland and one great-grandchild, Carter Holland.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Rodney Albin officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
