SadieAllisonSadie Eunice DeHart Allison, 97, of Owensboro, passed away, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Nov. 3, 1915, in Horse Branch to the late C. M. “Cap” and Cordia Miller DeHart.

She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and she worked as a cook.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hezzie Lee Allison; her son, Charles W. Baize; her grandson, Terry Wayne Baize and great-granddaughter, Darlynne Craft-Meredith.

She is survived by her son, Billy (Laura) Baize, Sr., of Whitesville; two daughters, Nellie O. (Ezra) Burden of Morgantown and Sadie “Cindy” (Buddie) Craft of Maceo; two step daughters, Lucille and Shirley and one step son, LeRoy Allison. She was blessed by ten grandchildren, Carol, Mike, Chuck, Charles, Star, Wendell, David, Billy, Jr., Nicki, and Tina and several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She also has several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral Services will be held be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Hadler Cemetery near Horse Branch. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
