OWENSBORO, Ky. — Patricia Ann Matthews Lanham, 86, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, with her family by her side at the Heartford House in Owensboro. She was born Aug. 21, 1940, in McHenry, Kentucky, to the late John C. Matthews and Anna Mae Thomas Matthews. Patricia retired from Leisure Years Nursing Home and attended Wings of Faith Church.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lanham and brother, Garry Neal Matthews.
Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memory, five children, David (Carolyn) Matthews, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Eldon Latham Jr., of Owensboro, Cynthia Horne, of Calhoun, Kentucky, Sheila Latham, of Owensboro, and Sherry (Mitchell) Garrity, of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren, April Duneghy, Marcus Matthews, Jennifer Horne, Andrew Sacra, Crystal Latham, Morgan Garrity, Lauren Garrity, Kris Crowe, Stephen Crowe and Sheila Crowe; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, John Wayne (Kathy) Matthews, of Linton, Indiana; sister-in-law, Anna Smith; as well as two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. David Tucker and Bro. Larry Bidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
