BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Brian Joseph Nabours (Sprout), 46, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sept. 18, 2026. He was born on July 8, 1980 to Richard and Terry Nabours in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
He graduated from Louisville Tech with an associate’s degree in 2000. The only two things in life he loved as much as his children were basketball and diet coke. He was a good person who struggled with health complications from diabetes from the age of 10.
He was preceded in death by his cousin, Violet Maurita Nabours (1976); brother, Richard Terry Nabours Jr. (2001); daughter, Madisyn Elizabeth Nabours (2004); stepfather, Kenneth Lee Strader (2007); cousin, Tiffany Diane Howard (2016); mother, Terry Margaret Ashby (2019), uncles, Raleigh Dale Nabours (2020), Thomas Ashley Hardin (2022), and Robert Eugene Ashby Jr. (2023).
He is survived by his three children, Jordyn Renae Nabours (23), of Springfield, Kentucky, Kylee (Kristyan) Jo Baker (19), of Hartford, Kentucky, and Landyn Maddox Nabours (14), of Hartford, Kentucky; grandson, Kayson Gray Baker (3), of Hartford; brother, Alan (Adrienne) Scott Nabours (48), of Hartford; half-sisters, Christy (Cory) Thomas-Mitchell (42), of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Jessica Ann Miller (37), of Owensboro, Kentucky; father, Richard Terry Nabours Sr. (70), of Beaver Dam; stepbrother, Sean Francis Ostrowsky (40), of Beaver Dam; stepmother, Sarah Casey (61), of Beaver Dam; and several nieces, nephews, and one grandnephew.
There will be a simple graveside service at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. There will be a gathering at McHenry Park Community Building after the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the family to help cover any and all expenses. Thank you for the love and support during this trying time.
