HARTFORD, Ky. — David Lawrence White, 76, of Hartford, passed away Aug. 31, 2026, at Ohio County Healthcare surrounded by his family. He was born in Lake County, Indiana, on Jan. 5, 1950, to the late Gobel and Letha Sizemore White.

Dave was a former chef and owner of Hogg Brother’s Café in Anchorage, Alaska; Sportsmen’s Café in Madisonville, Kentucky, and most recently, Capers Café in Hartford. He also worked at Ohio County Healthcare as a neurology technician for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Glenda White Rich.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim White; sons, Timmy (Christy) Gray and Kevin Gray; grandchildren,Parker (Madisyn) Gray, Connor (Emilee) Gray, Emerson Gray, Cody Gray, Audrey Gray; one great-grandchild, Adler Gray; sister, Phyllis (Jerry) Klym of Hendersonville, Tennessee; brother, Kevin (Teri) White, of Dothan, Alabama, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 6, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Ohio County Community Center with Bro. Paul Ralph officiating. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the care of Mr. White.
