
James was an Insulator for the Laborers Union before retirement. A member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, he loved singing, praising God and sharing the gospel. He served as a trustee and traveled for missionary work.
He was a kind, loving and funny outdoorsman, avid fisherman, and coon hunter who was happiest spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Hall, and sisters, Carolyn Hall and Flora Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly Hall; children, Brandon Hall, Jordan Hall, Erin (Logan) Harpole, Dylan (Ashley) Heflin, Josh (Alisa) Hall, Christopher (LaDonna) Cain, and Jason Cain; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings, Ester Hall, Janice Wilson; Michael (Diane) Hall, Brenda Crafton, Charlotte Haynes, Madonna Lake, Jovonne Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
James’s family will host a memorial service at 1pm Saturday, Aug. 29, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Olaton, Kentucky. They will receive friends from noon until service time and a memorial dinner will follow the service.
Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville is in charge of arrangements.
