LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Karen Earlene Blair Cotton, 57, of Louisville, passed away on Nov. 8, 2025. She was born May 20, 1968, in Louisville, to the late Earl Gordon and Mary Frances Blair.

Karen was a graduate of Shawnee High School and pursued her passion of helping others by earning a Clerical Degree from Decker College. She dedicated her life to serving her community in Louisville through her work as an admitting clerk, pharmacist tech, and outpatient surgical clerk for University of Louisville Hospital.

Karen strived to live a life of faith and goodness, always reminding those around her that “11:11 Angels are near”. She found joy in baking her famous meat loaves for her family and friends. Karen’s life was marked by her love for her children, whom she proudly described as beautiful and highly intelligent.

Aside from her parents Karen was preceded in death by her beloved son, Zachary Wayne “Blair” Cotton Sr.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Brittany Michelle “Blair” Cotton; three grandsons, Brett Arve Nowlin, Zachary Wayne Cotton Jr., and Ethan Xavier Nowlin; two sisters, Flora Charlene Briggs and Deborah Lynn Blair; one brother, Kelly Gene Blair (Sheryle Sue); four nephews, Richard Wayne Sanders, Adam Michael Sanders (Christina), Andy Ray Sanders (Tara), and Devin Thomas Blair; along with seven great-nieces and -nephews

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. (CST) Friday June 12, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
