Renetta Bratcher-Romero

I am Renetta Bratcher-Romero from the Old Salem Church area of Horse Branch. I am blessed to have a close and supportive family and church. I have over 31 years of administrative and executive experience. My focus has always been supporting the people and ensuring organizations operate with integrity and efficiency.

I’ve been deeply committed to community service and supported our youth and Bluegrass music heritage. I’ve served as executive director and chairperson for organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Ohio County Tourism, Rosine Park Board, Golf Advisory Board, and Eagles Booster, and volunteered countless hours.

While working with the Ohio County Fiscal Court, I implemented programs that create fairness and opportunity, including wage scale systems, safety programs, and helped to achieve the Work Ready Community certification, and the formation of OCEDA. I also helped in the implementation of best management practices for the animal shelter and golf course.

My experience includes managing state and federal grants and overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, which has taught me the importance of accountability, transparency, and long-term planning.

Guided by my Christian beliefs, I will always stand for what is morally right and align with Republican values. I am a concerned neighbor who understands the challenges of financial strain, family hardships, mental and physical health concerns, and substance abuse facing our communities. These are real issues, and I want to work alongside our judge-executive and local organizations to address them and strengthen Ohio County.

Safety has always been a priority for me. I strongly support our first responders. I have driven the roads of the 5th District. I will focus on ditch maintenance, intersection safety, and repairing damaged roads.

I believe in thoroughly investigating issues before making decisions. Responsible, financially sound choices lead to better outcomes for everyone.

I want to assist the judge-executive and the new court in strategic planning that prioritizes the well-being of all Ohio County. We will have to think out of the box. Ohio County has lost its coal severance funding, and state funding has dramatically decreased. Finances are going to be challenging, and fiscal responsibility is more important than ever.

If elected as your 5th District Magistrate, I will bring professionalism, integrity, and accountability to the Ohio County Fiscal Court. I am asking for your vote on Tuesday, May 19.

God bless our families, our communities, and God bless America
