
Mr. Dockery was a United States Air Force Veteran and was the owner of Dockery’s Restaurant in Hartford for 25 years. Cleo was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and take care of his horse, Scarlett.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jean Schroeder Dockery; three brothers, Herbert Dockery, Chalmer Dockery and G.V. Dockery; four sisters, Violet Dockery, Dimple Shell, Lois Morris, and Bonnie Maddox; and one grandson, Sebastian Dockery.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, two sons, Steven Dockery, of East Moline, Illinois, and Kevin Dockery, of Hope, Indiana; two daughters, Suzanne Dockery (David) Commins, of Berkeley, California, and Pam Dockery (Tom) McGinnis, of Shelbyville, Kentucky; one brother, Jackie Dockery of Hartford; one sister, JoAnn (Jim) Midkiff, of Beaver Dam; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cleo’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Mikah and the entire staff at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center for the compassionate care and kindness shown to their father. Your dedication, patience, and support meant so much to him and to all of us. We are truly grateful for everything you have done.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler County. Friends may visit with Cleo’s from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
