
Ray served in the Air Force and worked as a forklift driver for Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida. He was an avid deer hunter and loved watching westerns. He loved playing cards and driving his tractor around his farm.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his stepdaughters, Cynthia Joanne “Cindy Jo” Hallman and Laurel Jayne “Lori” Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Phyllis “Cookie” Everly; sister, Patricia Wolgamott; daughter, Sabrina Everly; grandson, Jordan Alexander Everly; stepchildren, Henry Darryl Simmons and Carol Jeanne Warner; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Ceralvo Cemetery in Centertown with Military Honors. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
