BEAVER DAM Ky. — Gwendolyn Sue Geary, 75, of Beaver Dam, passed away Feb. 7, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1950, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Liston and Nevaline Atherton Wright.
Susie loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a secretary for Mine Safety and Health Administration.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Clay Geary.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy Geary; daughter, Lauren (Matt) Vender; grandchildren, Lilly, Claire, Silas and Nolan; stepchildren, Sandy (Mike) Stenberg and Bobby (Kelly) Geary and their extended families; brother, Stacy (Mary) Wright; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
