LEXINGTON, Ky. — Andrea Dawn “Drea” Kiper, 33, of Lexington, formerly of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1992, in Hartford, Kentucky to the late Benjamin Kiper Sr. and the late Angela Faye Ryan.
Drea worked as a peer support specialist and landscaper. She enjoyed fishing and found purpose in her work in recovery, where she dedicated herself to helping others change their lives for the better. She cherished her role as an Aunt, adoring her nieces and nephews, but more than anything she longed to be a Mother.
In her passing, Drea continued her mission of helping others by giving the ultimate gift of life as an organ donor and potentially saving four lives.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her Grams, Betty Russ; aunts, Cheryl Green, Doris Howard “Mama Doris” and Tammy Lopez; and uncles, Karl Kiper, Willie Kiper, Orval Kiper, and Junior Kiper.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her wife, Patience Kiper, of Lexington; one son, Kyler; six siblings, Andy (Kayla) Kiper, of Beaver Dam, Ryan Kiper, of Beaver Dam, Justin Kiper, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Randi Kiper-Coy, of Beaver Dam, Leah King, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Kayla Barksdale, of Owensboro; sister-in-law, Destiny (Brian) Lee, of Almo, Kentucky; and 23 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two uncles, Randy Kiper, of Beaver Dam, and Michael Ryan, of Morgantown, Kentucky; and one aunt, Betty (James) Daugherty, of Powderly, Kentucky.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Drea’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
