OWENSBORO, Ky. — Emma Jean Bellamy, 96, of Owensboro, formerly of Whitesville, Kentucky, passed away March 18, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Cadiz, Kentucky, on Oct. 4, 1928, to the late Amos and Virginia Mitchell.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Bellamy; son, Ellis Bellamy; granddaughter, Cheri Henning.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Charlie) Henning and Ella (Tony) Howard; sons, Stanley (Connie) Bellamy and Roger (Debbie) Bellamy; daughter-in-law, Susie Bellamy; and 11 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10am Friday, March 21, at Kelly Cemetery in Fordsville, Kentucky. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville.
