Kathryn Ann ‘Kathy’ Knott

MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Kathryn Ann “Kathy” Knott passed away peacefully at the Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on March 8, 2025. Kathy was born on Aug. 11, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, and was the firstborn daughter of Eugene and Ruby Knott of Beaver Dam.

Kathy had formerly lived in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, had been a long-time resident of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, but most recently resided at Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown.

Kathy was a Christian and enjoyed reading her Bible daily. She also enjoyed writing religious poetry, working word searches, listening to music, collecting elephant figurines and playing the piano as a past time. She retired from King Livestock as a dispatcher, Kathy was the type of person that was always willing to give someone the shirt off her back if they were in need and had a heart as big as Texas.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Knott; her sister, Bonnie Knott Lewis; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Ruby Knott; her sister, Andrea Crowe (Stacey); two nephews, Ethan and Corbin Crowe, all of Beaver Dam; and one aunt, one uncle, and several cousins.

The family would like to thank the supportive staff at Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center, as well as the kind, caring nurses and doctors of the Bowling Green Medical Center Intensive Care Unit.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery with Bro. Josh Johnston officiating. Hartford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
