BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Stephen Justin “Stevie” Smith, 41, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born on Oct. 28, 1983, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Cleveland “Butch” and Mary Widner Smith.
Stevie was a member of Daystar Church in Echols and he previously worked as a sales clerk at Auto Zone, assistant manager at Minit Mart, and assistant manager at Arby’s.
He enjoyed dirt track racing, drag racing, playing guitar and drums.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Trula Widner, and paternal grandparents, Olen and Irma Smith and Wilma and Donnie Hert.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his parents, Cleveland “Butch” and Mary Widner Smith, of Beaver Dam, and three siblings, Joey Smith, of Beaver Dam, Samara (Jeremy) Chinn, of McHenry, Kentucky, and Dustin Smith, of Beaver Dam. Stevie was blessed with one niece, Kursten (Tyler) Williams; two nephews, Trigden Chinn and Blane Roberts; one great-nephew, Langston Williams; his stepdaughter, Katie Cooper; and grandchildren, Kent, Davanaee, and Kayce Cooper.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Pastor Michael Decker and Dr. Ryan Himes officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with Stevie’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
