BEAVER DAM, Ky. — William Roger Hale, 74, passed away on May 18, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born on Sept. 18, 1949, to Arthur Hale and Cova Campbell Hale and was a lifelong resident of Ohio County, Kentucky.

He earned an agriculture degree at Western Kentucky University. Roger was a dedicated coal mining supervisor for 36 years with Peabody Coal Company.

He was an avid lover of sports, particularly Indiana basketball, and old music.

He is loved and survived by his daughter, Ashley Whitely (Nathan); granddaughter, Addison Whitely; older brother, Arthur Hale (Wanda); niece, Angela Alexander; nephew, Jason Hale (Trisha); and many great-nieces and a great-nephew.

A private family service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky.

Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
