Curtis C. Pirtle

HARTFORD, Ky. — Curtis C. Pirtle, 83, formerly of Hartford, passed away on May 13, 2024, in Owensboro, Kentucky. Curtis Pirtle was born on March 27, 1941, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to James Pirtle and Katherine Pirtle.

Curtis earned his GED and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He started his career with Chrysler Corporation and continued to work for over 30 years.

Curtis enjoyed dancing and when living in Illinois, could be seen with his children riding snowmobiles. He also enjoyed meeting with the Hartford Masonic Lodge #675 F&AM where he was a member in good standing.

Besides his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Pirtle.

Curtis is survived by Maryann Alsip and her husband, Steve; son, Max Pirtle; brother, Bill Pirtle and wife, Brenda; sister, Judean Drescher and husband, Joe; and four grandchildren.

The service for Curtis Pirtle will be held on Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Hartford Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, at 10 a.m. at Hartford Funeral Home.

A Masonic service will be held on Thursday, at 12 noon at Hartford Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Owensboro, Kentucky.
