BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Susan D. Shephard, 62, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on June 17, 1961, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Ray Allen and Wanda Lee Whitmer Dossett.
Susan worked as a cook at Ohio County Healthcare and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and catering.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her husband of 30 years, Mark Shephard, of Beaver Dam; one sister, Debbie Turley (Morgan), of Sacramento, Kentucky; one niece, Terena Ball (Jeffrey), of Sacramento; three nephews, Steward Turley (Tiffany), of Calhoun, Kentucky, Logan Baggett, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Layton Evans, of Beaver Dam; great-nephews and great-nieces, Gavin, Lesley, Courtney, Merci, Madi, Lucas, and Lily; and great-great-nephews, Will and Sam; her second Momma, Helen Rickard, of Sacramento; her best friend, Sharon Joines, of Hartford, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Laura) Shephard, of Beaver Dam; and one sister-in-law, Susan (Leonard) Baggett, of Beaver Dam.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Burial will follow in West School House Cemetery in Sacramento. Friends may visit with Susan’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento.
