BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Elzia Darrell Napier, 76, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at his home. He was born on Dec. 5, 1947, in Perry County, Kentucky, to the late Napoleon and Edith Smith Napier.

Mr. Napier was a United States Air Force veteran, he was a member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge #675 F&AM and he worked as a federal mine inspector.

He attended McHenry Baptist Church. Elzia enjoyed the morning coffee group and watching UK Basketball but most of all he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings.

He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife of 51 years, Peggy Combs Napier, of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Tami (Bill) Christmas, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Alisa (Willis) Burden, of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren, Tori Burden, Colton Burden, Garrett Quinn and Hunter Quinn; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Friends may visit with Elzia’s family from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to, Ohio County Hospice, 1211 Main Street, Hartford, KY 42347.
