BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Pamela Jo McKinney, 68, of Beaver Dam, went to her heavenly home on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at her home. She was born March 31, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John Hagan and Mary Price Hagan.

Pam retired from the Ohio County Board of Education where she spent many years at Wayland Elementary School. She was a dedicated member of Hope Wesleyan Church and very active with Ohio County Special Olympics.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Beverly, Barb, JoAnn, Debbie, and Jim.

Pam leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 26 years, Mark McKinney; four children, Shane (Amanda) Bennett, of Hartford, Kentucky, Hannah (Brandon) Geary, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, Savanah (Chris) Bradley, of Centertown, Kentucky, and Josh (Jessica) McKinney, of Hartford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rob Hagan.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Hope Wesleyan Church (308 Liberty Street, Hartford, KY 42347) with Pastor Mark Hatfield officiating. Friends may visit with Pam’s family from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Ohio County Special Olympics, c/o Betty Lile, 6180 US Hwy 231 North, Hartford, KY 42347.
