MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Jonell Greathouse, 72, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Jonell was born on Sunday, Sept. 16, 1951, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the union of the late Clemmit and Levi Booth Woosley and wife of the late Glendon Wayne Greathouse.

She was a Richland Missionary Baptist Church member and retired from The Kellwood Company. Jonell enjoyed reading, gardening, and her dogs.

Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three siblings Randall, Donnie, and Flossie Woosley.

Jonell Greathouse is survived by three children, Stephanie Cardwell (Daniel), of Morgantown, Paul Greathouse (Alisha), of Hartford, Kentucky, and Pam McDowell (Brian), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Hollis and Asa Cardwell, of Morgantown, Johnathon Greathouse, of South Korea, Crystal Greathouse, of Hartford, Tyler Goff (Jacqueline), of Beaver Dam, Whitney Wolfe (Tommy), of Beaver Dam, and Andrew McDowell (Taylor), of Beaver Dam; several great-grandchildren; nine siblings, Darsie Woosley, of Morgantown, Leonard Woosley, of Morgantown, Lonard Woosley (Judy), of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Wanda Woosley, of Morgantown, Wendell Woosley (Mary), of Scottsville, Kentucky, Denzil Woosley (Marty), Zendell Woosley, Dallas Woosley (Donna), and Nina Swift, all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
