HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Reginald “Joe” Stevens, 87, of Hopkinsville, passed away with his family by his side Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at his home. He was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Barton, Vermont, to the late John Stevens and Eunice Labor Stevens.
Joe was a farmer and member of Green River Baptist Church in Cromwell, Kentucky.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Hoadley.
Joe married the love of his life, Margaret “Betty” Davis Stevens, on June 11, 1966, and together they raised two children, Holly St. Clair, of Hopkinsville, and Gary John (Amy) Stevens, of Horse Branch, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Jasmyne Stevens; and two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, and Korbyn Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mr. Stevens family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
