HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Charles H. Leach, 74, of Horse Branch, passed away Monday, May 18, 2023, with his family by his side at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 19, 1948, in Rosine, Kentucky, to the late Charles E. Leach and Lillian Daugherty Leach.

Charles was formerly employed by Thomas Industries and was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed genealogy, gardening, and tinkering with small appliances.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Rice Leach, and his brother, Milford Leach.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Stephanie Leach, of Horse Branch; two brothers, Ronnie Bruce (Melody) Leach, of Horse Branch, and Russell (Tracy) Leach, of Birnamwood, Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with DeWayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hatler Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Charles’ family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
